Katalin Koda has been practicing Reiki for over twelve years and teaching for eleven.  She has given hundreds of Reiki sessions and taught many students from around the world.  She studied and earned all degrees of Reiki with Reiki Master and High Priestess, Rowan Wilson. After learning Reiki One and Two in Spring of 1998, she spent the following year practicing earnestly on friends and family while finishing her B.A. in socio-cultural Anthropology at the University of Maryland: College Park.  She volunteered at the Reiki Clinic in downtown Baltimore, Maryland where she experienced the healing art of Reiki with a number of different practitioners of various lineages.  A year later she earned her Reiki Master degree with Wilson.  Katalin also spent a year working with Wilson, learning and perfecting the crafting arts of Wicca, contemporary paganism.  This includes the art of casting a sacred circle, drawing down the moon and Tarot symbolism.

Over the past decade, Katalin has continued her practice and teaching of Reiki supplementing her study with the Chakra System, Hatha and Kundalini Yoga and the Tibetan Dharma.  She is a certified Sivananda Yoga instructor from Sivananda Ashram in Neyyar Dam, Kerala.  Coincidentally, during the writing of The Sacred Path of Reiki, Katalin dedicated herself to the path of Tibetan Buddha dharma, by taking refuge with His Holiness Gyalwa Karmapa, leader of the Karma Kagyu lineage.  Her Reiki spiritual path has been enhanced immeasurably by the kindness of H.H. Karmapa and the teachings from various teachers of the Tibetan Buddhist path.   Katalin currently divides her time between Hawai’i and India where she continues to practice Reiki and teaches all degrees of Reiki Warrior.  She also provides chakra, Tarot and sacred crafting workshops as well as pursuing her shamanic training, writing and painting.  For upcoming trainings, please see the Calendar page.
