Munay Ki Rites (One Weekend or Three Meetings)
The Munay Ki means love in Quechua, based on the language of the Inca people. The Laika or medicine men and women of this ancient tradition were the guardians for the nine rites of the Munay Ki which initiate the seeker into harmony, love and wisdom. The process of the Munay Ki begins with receiving the Nine Rites and is followed by the student practicing fire ceremonies for seven consecutive full moons. It requires the simple, yet important commitment to honoring the seven major archetypes of the Laika tradition. During the seven month process the body, soul and heart are empowered and transformed, resulting into illumination of the Munay Ki.
